This Cookie Policy describes how NeuralsGames uses cookies and similar technologies on neuralsgames.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. By using the Site and interacting with the cookie notice, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites remember preferences, keep sessions secure, measure traffic, and deliver a smoother experience. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of them as “cookies” unless a distinction is important.
2. How we use cookies
NeuralsGames is a lightweight editorial showcase. We aim to keep tracking minimal. We primarily use technologies that are necessary for the Site to function correctly and to remember your cookie-banner choice so the notice does not repeatedly interrupt browsing.
2.1 Strictly necessary
These technologies are required for core functionality such as security, load balancing (if provided by hosting), and remembering that you have accepted or closed the cookie banner. Without them, parts of the Site may not work as intended, or the banner would reappear on every visit.
2.2 Preference storage
When you click “Accept” or “Close” on the cookie banner, we store your choice in the browser under the localStorage key cookie_consent. Possible values include “accepted” and “closed”. This value stays on your device until you clear site data. It is not used to build advertising profiles.
2.3 Analytics and marketing
We do not currently deploy third-party advertising cookies on NeuralsGames. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by law, request additional consent before non-essential cookies are set.
3. Third-party technologies
Some pages embed third-party content, such as a Google Maps iframe on the contact section. When that embed loads, Google may set its own cookies or process technical data according to Google’s policies. Clicking outbound links to official game sites (Rise of Kingdoms, Star Trek Fleet Command) also takes you to environments we do not control. Those publishers may set cookies independently of NeuralsGames.
4. Summary table

- Hosting / security cookies — may be set by infrastructure providers to protect the Site and distribute traffic; duration: typically session or short-lived; purpose: security and availability.
- Map embed cookies — may be set by Google when the map iframe loads; duration and purpose: governed by Google; used to deliver the map experience.
5. How to manage cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear localStorage. Instructions are usually found under Settings → Privacy / Security. If you block all cookies, some features (including remembering the banner choice) may stop working correctly. You can also use private browsing modes, which typically discard many storage items when the window closes.
To reset the NeuralsGames cookie notice specifically, clear site data for neuralsgames.com in your browser. The banner will appear again on your next visit until you make a new choice.
6. Do Not Track
There is no consistent industry standard for interpreting Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. Given our minimal tracking posture, we do not alter Site behaviour solely based on DNT headers at this time. We continue to review best practices as standards evolve.
7. Changes
We may revise this Cookie Policy when our technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version. Material changes that expand non-essential tracking will be highlighted through the Site notice where appropriate.
